In September 2024 a solicitor brought an area of land at Heathfield, Croy to the attention of the KLTR.
The property was deemed suitable for the OPTS with the relevant processes being implemented.
In August 2025 The Highland Council submitted an OPTS application for consideration. This application was in relation to taking ownership of the Subjects to form part of an Active Travel route.
During December 2025 the KLTR considered that the application met the criteria set out in the Ownerless Property Transfer Scheme. The KLTR intends to progress the potential sale of the property to The Highland Council under OPTS.
